How to choose the right electric hoist for your working conditions? – Electric Hoist with Wireless Remote Control

Electrical hoists are a perfect solution for lifting transporting, loading and unloading material. Compared with cranes, mechanical hoists have lighter weight and easier to carry with and move. Different kinds of lifting electrical hoists can adapt to different working classes. electrical hoists for sale have high quality and factory price to meet customers’ practical needs.

According to practical working needs, different types of electric hoists are chosen.

  • For outdoor electric hoist, it has an anti-rain cover;
  • for electric motor hoist, it has powerful driving motor force;
  • electric engine hoist, it has reasonable design and compact structure;
  • for electric rope hoist, it has wide application and durable wire;
  • for electric pulley hoist, it can move stable with little noise;
  • electric lifting hoist, it can lift, load, unload material in different places;
  • for electric monorail hoist, it can be used together with single overhead crane, single gantry crane, and single beam;
  • for electric cable hoist, it has different lifting capacities to meet customers’ needs;
  • cheap electric hoist, it can save much cost; for low headroom electric hoist, it is suitable for factory not strict for height.

Suspension hoist

Electric Hoist with Wireless Remote Control – Suspension Types:

Hoist Hook

This is where the top of a hoist unit features a ‘Top Hook’ which easily attaches the hoist to a trolley or beam clamp. Ideal for temporarily suspending off a trolley or beam clamp.

Hoist Lug

This is where the top of the hoist unit has a closed suspension lug (also known as a suspension eye). This is ideal for a hoist permanently being suspended on a trolley or beam clamp.

Push Travel Trolley

is a method of suspension that involves suspending a hoist from a beam with the ability to traverse manually. It allows the unit to travel horizontally across a beam enabling the hoist to travel with or without its load by the operator simply pulling the unit along the beam. When choosing a trolley you should always choose one that matches your hoist’s SWL.

Geared Trolley

Same as a push trolley however instead of the operator pushing or pulling the trolley himself a hand chain is provided which turns the wheels on the trolley to make the unit travel, this is ideal for more precise movements and for heavier loads.

Electric Travel Trolley

Exactly the same function as a manual trolley however the user pushes a button on the pendant control or radio control to operate the horizontal travel of the trolley. Electric travel trolleys can be dual or single speed operating. We also supply these as a complete package with the hoist and controls or separately.

Hoist speed

  • Dual Speed- This means that the hoist can lift its load using two separate speeds, usually one faster speed and one slower speed. The slower speed is usually used when a load is to be slowly lifted/lowered into position or when the load is fragile. The faster speed is for regular use.
  • Single Speed- This means your hoist will have one lifting speed, this can be fast or slow depending on the model. Ideal for when budgets are tight or simply user preference. All single phase models feature single speed only.

Hoisting speed is measured in meters per minute.

Travel Speeds

only on hoists featuring electric travel trolleys:

  • Dual Speed- This means that your hoist unit attached to the electric travel trolley can be moved along the beam easily using two different speeds controlled by the pendant or radio control units. The trolley can travel at a slow speed or higher speed this is easily controlled by the operator for more movements.
  • Single Speed- is when the electric beam trolley can transport the hoist along an RSJ beam at a single operating speed. The hoist cannot move faster or slower along the beam, single speed is idea for when budgets are tight or simply operator preference. All single phase models feature single speed only.

Outdoor electric hoist

Indoor and Outdoor Usage: When specifying your hoist requirements you may be asked if your hoist is for indoor or outdoor usage.

  • Indoor: All of our standard units are manufactured for regular indoor use. So you don’t have to worry if you are using your hoist indoors unless the area is damp or subject to heavy moisture.
  • Outdoor: When using a hoist outdoors you must specify this when ordering. Outdoor hoists vary from the manufacturer but some of the common adjustments that are made are- Stainless Steel brakes, Weatherproof jackets, IP65 protection level and drainage holes where applicable.
What is an electric hoist?

Electric hoist is a special lifting equipment, mounted on the overhead cranes, gantry cranes or Jib cranes. Electric hoist with small size, lightweight, simple operation, easy to use features, usually be used in industrial and mining enterprises, storage terminals and other places.

How Does an Electric Chain Hoist Work?

Electric chain hoists have an induction motor and a break to ensure the load is held when lifting (enabling heavy objects/loads to be lifted safely). The motor converts electrical energy that is fed into mechanical energy which can then lift the load/weight.

Best chain hoist brand

Hoist brands manufactured in the United States against imported hoists: After a year in which much was said about the importance of American manufacturing, American companies still face the reality of the budget crisis, and it is critical to understand the differences between American-made hoists and foreign brands.

American hoist brands: While a number of nationally manufactured hoist brands remain in the market for a long time, such as:

  • CM-Columbus McKinnon
  • Coffing
  • Chester
  • Yale
  • Harrington
  • ACCO
  • Electrolift

The market has been gradually but immensely changed by the emergence of European brands of hoists in the world.

European hoist brands: In the last 40 years and more recently, the strong US dollar in exchange rates has made euro imports even cheaper. European-made hoist brands cross the quality spectrum, we recommend:

  • R&M
  • Demag
  • Street crane

But they share some common characteristics. They are manufactured in Europe with final assembly and testing in the United States and are built according to metric standards, with all internal metric hardware.

Hoist Manufacturers

Wire rope hoist manufacturers

Cable hoists: Europe cable hoists usually come standard with a cable guide (so any side pull by the operator is particularly destructive) and uses a 2-speed motor instead of a standard speed motor.

Meanwhile, I have observed that Euro brand hoists are often redesigned approximately every 5 to 10 years. This makes previous versions obsolete and gives them a limited shelf life. Meanwhile, more American-made hoists are built for the long term, and it is not uncommon to find a 20 to 30-year-old elevator still in use.

Electric hoist manufacturers

Electric hoists: National American brands are constructed in accordance with ANSI and HMI standards (compared to Euro brands adapted to the import standard) and are manufactured in our commonly used English unit measurement system (also known as imperial units).

And American electric hoists are made with a variable frequency unit for flexible programming in the field. Certainly, brands made in the USA. They cover the full range of quality, so here are my favorite American-made wire rope hoists:

Yale hoist

Yale hoist: The Yale King hoist is the most versatile and customizable cable hoist on the market. With numerous options and accessories related to sizes, carriage type, drum length, power and, not to mention a wide range of capacities, this hoist can be designed and manufactured to meet very specific needs.

Electrolift hoist

Electrolift hoist: These American-made hoists are characterized by being durable and “no problems.” We have long-standing clients who use this brand exclusively and trust it.

ACCO hoist

ACCO hoists: ACCO-Wright offer a cheaper price and still represents excellent quality. Since the company manufactures cable drums internally, they are easily modifiable and customized for dimensions. In higher capacities, the drum is mounted in parallel for better lateral separation, and the hoist offers a single beam vertical lift and a more precise vertical lift.

Hoists Manufacturers: Hoists are manufactured worldwide, and in this global economy, buyers have numerous options. When reviewing the options, the old adage “what you get for what you pay for” certainly applies to hoists, and most importantly, it is key to select a hoist that is maintained until the expected duty cycle of the application.

Kito chain hoist

As a Japanese high-tech manufacturer, KITO stands for innovation, precision, and trust. With more than 85 years of experience in the manufacture of hoists and cranes, the company is a world leader in quality. Kito products move millions of tonnes of heavyweight daily in industries such as automotive or power generation.

Hitachi electric chain hoist

Hitachi’s reputation for excellence in design, quality, reliability, and performance has made this brand a global market leader. With over three decades of proven reliability throughout the world and an extensive operating range, Hitachi Electric Chain Hoists are suited to most applications. The Hitachi models vary from 250kg to 15-tonne capacity and are available in three or single phase, two speed or single speed while being tested to the safety standards.

This is especially true when lifting equipment is an integral part of the production process. Whether you need parts for emergency repairs or for scheduled preventive maintenance, knowing that you have access to first-quality, hoists parts is vital in today’s competitive global business environment.

hoist crane installation:

When your facility needs crane and hoist equipment, the process can seem overwhelming. What exactly do you need? How much will it cost and how do you get a quote? And once you figure out what you need, how do you find a vendor that can follow through with the expertise, skill, equipment, and customer service to get everything up and running smoothly?

Whether you need to lift 30 tons or 50 tons. one thing we’ve learned over the years is the importance of the quoting process: the more information we have upfront, the better we can estimate your costs and the faster we can get you going.

3 Ton Electric Chain Hoist

what is electric chain hoist?

Electric chain hoists are used for lifting or lowering material. An electric motor and controller are utilized to lift, lower and accelerate or decelerate the speed of the hoist. All chain hoists provide true vertical lift, meaning the load does not vary from the hoist centerline during hoisting or lowering.

What is a chain hoist?

A Chain Block (also known as a hand chain hoist) is a mechanism used to lift and lower heavy loads using a chain. When the chain is pulled, it winds around the wheels and begins to lift the item that is attached to the rope or chain via a hook.

How does a chain hoist work?

The electric chain hoist consists of an induction motor with a brake to hold the load lifted on it. It’s an electrical panel board and the motor with pulley coupled to the hoist, with a pendant operating station hanging with the help of a steel wire rope at a height of the operator-friendly use.

What’s the difference between the chain block and the lever hoist?

A chain block is suitable for the production of the factory, miners, agriculture, electric power, building, goods lifting, vehicle loading, and unloading, etc., especially for open and no power area, more important function.
The term lever hoist may be applied to any small, portable lifting device which relies on the manual operation to lift o lower heavy loads. Lever hoists fall into two main categories: cable or rope hoists and chain hoists. Both variants rely on a ratchet and pawl system to rotate a gear or pulley a pre-set distance that lifts the load. The ratchet and lever mechanism is equipped with a hook or fastener which is used to suspend the lever hoist from a suitable support.

Chain hoist how it works

A hoist is a device that is used to lift or lower the load attached to it by the means of a lift wheel or drum. The lifting of the load is done by the rope or wire that is looped around the wheel or the drum. The wheel or the drum may use electricity for its operation or in some cases it may also be manually operated. Along with the drum and the wire, another integral part of the hoist is the lifting medium that is used.

  • The different lifting mediums that are used are a chain, fiber orwire rope.
  • A hook is also available where the load is attached.
  • One of the most commonly used types of hoist worldwide is Chain Hoist.
  • The type that is commonly used is electrically operated.
  • In this type of hoist, the chain pulley hoist is used as the lifting medium.
  • Here there is a closed chain that forms a loop which ultimately lifts the load.
  • A pulley is also attached to the hoist to lift the load.
  • Numerous small and large pulleys are found in the chain pulley hoist.
  • For raising the load, the chain has to be pulled.

When pulled, the large pulley draws in more chain than what is required by the smaller side facilitating the beginning of the lifting procedure.

Areas of application of chain hoist

The different areas of application of chain hoist comprise of industries mostly manufacturing ones and construction sites.

The working of the chain pulley hoist can be understood from the following points:

  • It uses gears to multiply the force.
  • A chain pulley hoist, when operated by hand, requires an operator to pull the light loop chain on the side.
  • This turns a gear mechanism inside to turn the chain pulley.
  • When this pulley turns, it raises the heavy chain which usually has a hook on the end.
  • By pulling the light chain loop, the manual hoist is actually able to increase the force that is being applied by the heavy chain.
  • This is caused by the gear ratios inside the manual chain pulley hoist.
  • The mechanical work done by the operator is the same as the work done by the heavy lifting chain

The procedure specified can also be automated by using the electrically operated Chain pulley Hoist. Thus it simplifies a lot of load-lifting work.

How chain pulley block works?

What is a Chain Block?

A Chain Block (also known as a hand chain pulley hoist) is a mechanism used to lift and lower heavy loads using a chain. Chain blocks contain two wheels in which the chain is wound around. When the chain is pulled, it winds around the wheels and begins to lift the item that is attached to the rope or chain via a hook. Chain Blocks can also be attached to lifting slings or chain bags to lift the load more evenly.

How Does a Chain Block Work?

A Chain Block contains a lifting chain, a hand chain, and a grabbing hook. Most chain blocks are operated using electricity, but manual chain blocks can be used too. First, the chain block needs to be connected to the load via the grabbing hook. Then when the hand chain is pulled, the chain tightens its grip on the wheel and forms a loop inside the mechanism causing a tension that lifts the load from the ground.

What is a Chain Block used for?

Due to its lifting capabilities, Chain Blocks are commonly used in garages where they are able to remove engines from cars easily. Because they can be operated by one person, Chain Blocks are a wonderfully efficient way to complete jobs that may have taken more than two workers to do.

Where does a Chain Block use?

Chain Blocks are also used on construction sites where they can lift loads from the higher levels, in assembly-line factories to lift items to and from the belt and sometimes even to winch cars from treacherous terrain.

What is the capacity of a chain pulley hoist?

Chain Blocks come in a variety of different capacities making them suitable for a wide range of operations of up to 20 tonnes.
